The bed of a flat-bed CNC lathe is horizontal, and this design makes workpiece clamping and changing relatively simple and suitable for most routine machining tasks. Its structure is relatively simple and easy to maintain, suitable for mass production and occasions that do not require high machining accuracy. The slant-bed CNC lathe adopts a tilted bed design, which can effectively reduce the impact of the cutting force on the bed, improve the stability of the machine tool, and then improve the machining accuracy.

1.Cutting performance

From the cutting performance point of view, the slant-bed CNC lathe is more resistant to bending and torsion. Slant-bed CNC lathe tool is cutting from the workpiece diagonally above down, so the spindle can maintain a relatively smooth movement, effectively reducing the cutting vibration, while the flat-bed CNC lathe is different, the tool and the workpiece to maintain a perpendicular state of the cutting force is more likely to cause vibration, noise and impact on the accuracy and service life of the machine tool.

2.Machining precision

Slant-bed CNC lathes typically have higher machining accuracy. This is because they are designed to better resist vibration and thermal deformation, and are suitable for high-precision machining tasks, especially in areas that require detailed machining, which explains why slant-bed CNC lathes have an advantage in machining accuracy over traditional flat-bed machines.
